Job Description


Well run smaller Bank seeks Loan Servicing Specialist.

This is a direct hire full-time role where you will work in a small tight knit, well run Loan Operations group.

This is a very visible and promotable role and would be an ideal match for a Loan Processor with 1-5+ years of experience who is looking for a growth opportunity with a very stable institution.

In summary, you will provide administrative day to day support to the Loan Servicing Department including:

  • Create new loans in system

  • Construct and maintain loan document files
  • Responsible for processing mortgage and instalment loan payoffs and daily reconciliation
  • Post-closing file/system review

  • Calculate and prepare payoff letters

  • Prepare verification of mortgage upon request

  • Calculate and prepare assignment requests

  • Prepare and process payoff amounts received, close loans on system

  • Prepare satisfaction documents and forward to appropriate parties

  • Tracking and scanning of recorded mortgages / documents / notes

  • General Ledger reconciliations for tax services and funds held in escrow

  • Responsible for collection activity, calls, correspondence, maintenance

  • Create reports utilizing Excel

  • Post, track, maintain funds held in Escrow at Closing; obtain updates from borrower and/or attorneys and disburse funds as per agreement

  • Responsible for payment of Real Estate taxes, frontage charges, surcharges, and resolution of tax disputes

  • Responsible for tracking and payment processing of hazard/flood insurance, Force Place as required

  • Respond to customer / borrower inquiries

  • Credit Compliance. E-Oscar

  • Update and Maintain DNA System
 
 
Requirements include

  • 1+ years of experience in Customer Service/Banking (Mortgage processing experience strongly preferred)

  • Must be highly organized and proactive to research and resolve discrepancies in a fast paced deadline driven environment.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment

  • Good computer skills required including Microsoft Office and Excel

  • Fiserv (Prologue GL/DNA) experience preferred but not required
