A top investment firm is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems within a dynamic New York City-based Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to prototype rapidly, refine solutions, and influence strategic decisions—whether building in-house or integrating vendor solutions—while delivering measurable results across research, portfolio operations, and client reporting.
Required Skills:
7-10 years of software or ML engineering experience with a focus on production systems
Minimum 2 years building with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production
Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript
Expertise with APIs, event-driven architectures, and enterprise AI platform integrations
Experience with Azure services including Azure OpenAI, App Services, Key Vault, and identity management
Data engineering skills in SQL and operational data management
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical documentation
Nice to Have Skills:
Asset management or financial services domain experience
Microsoft Power Platform, Graph, SharePoint, Teams
Vector databases such as Azure AI Search, Redis, Pinecone
Orchestration tools like Semantic Kernel or LangChain
Frontend development with React or Power Apps
Familiarity with process mining and business process optimization
Preferred Education & Experience:
Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
Proven track record of shipping enterprise-grade AI solutions
