Syndicated Loan Operations – NYC Hybrid
You know the drill with loan operations: notices from agent banks hit your inbox, bookings come through from the front office, payments need to get out the door, reconciliations have to tie out, and reports land on your desk by day’s end.
If you enjoy that rhythm, but want to do it in a tight-knit NYC team where your work is visible, valued, and tied directly to global transactions, this could be the right next step; competitive compensation the salary range for the role is $75,000-95,000 per year; and hybrid onsite 2-3+ days per week.
What you’ll be doing here
- Running the daily flow for syndicated and bilateral fund finance loans (plus some time deposits).
- Making sure bookings from the Fund Finance Group are clean in the Loan GL system, and payments are processed accurately.
- Keeping an eye on notices from agent banks and jumping in when communications need to be clarified.
- Owning daily USD and currency positions for the group — downloading, checking, and circulating BOD/EOD reports.
- Pulling together month-end and term-end reporting and making sure the numbers add up.
- Investigating when reconciliations don’t balance and fixing issues before they snowball.
- Cross-training on collateral management so you’ve got breadth beyond loan ops.
- Pitching in on audits, system upgrades, UAT, and the inevitable “special projects.”
- Visibility: You’re not buried in a massive back-office hub — you’re at the NYC branch, working closely with the front office and Fund Finance team.
- Variety: This isn’t a narrow ticket-punching role. You’ll see loans front-to-back, handle multiple products, and touch reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
- Growth: The team values cross-training (collateral management, regulatory processes, new systems). You’ll keep adding tools to your skillset.
- Balance: Hybrid schedule (2–3 days in Midtown), reasonable hours, and stability in a global institution.
- Someone with 2+ years in loan operations experience with syndicated/bilateral loans.
- Comfortable with the details (loan docs, notices, reconciliations) but also curious to learn the bigger picture.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. SWIFT knowledge is a plus.
- A communicator who can keep agent banks, the Fund Finance Group, and internal stakeholders on the same page.
- Based in the NYC area and ready to come in a few days a week.
