An expanding Company that specializes in the sales and marketing of satellite communications solutions in North and South America seeks Business Development professional to work in New York based sales team.

 

This is a full-time direct hire role with a company that offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits and a very stable and professional work environment.

 

Customers include satellite integrators and resellers in the consumer, commercial, maritime, government, and military areas; C, Ku and Ka-band Block Up Convertors (BUC) and Low Noise Blocks (LNB) solutions products for the consumer and enterprise markets. 

 

You will help to further expand market share and provide sales and technical support to customers

 

Responsibilities include seeking out, developing, responding and closure of opportunities working with customers, business development and account managers, engineers, and executive and program managers.

 

This will include:

  • Prospecting for new customers and look for new opportunities within existing customers for our products.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships across all departments and levels, in order to identify new opportunities and grow sales
  • Positioning our manufacturers’ products to address customer needs through one-on-one meetings, presentations and travel with engineers, and managers from our manufacturer
  • Identifying and addressing customers’ needs in a timely manner, driving sales opportunities
  • Securing purchase orders and significantly growing companies revenue
  • Attending sales meetings, conferences, trade shows and other industry events, as needed
  • Preparation of sales/activity/business meeting reports
  • Analyze and project profitability, revenue and margins for all products and projects

 

 

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in a related scientific or technical field (Engineering preferred), MBA's welcome to apply .
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential. 
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with contract negotiations and technical concept development skills desired to be able to help create the solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of international trade, including but not limited to, terminology of Incoterms and shipping and customs clearance
  • Excellent communication skills sufficient to participate in complex verbal and written communications, and to produce professional business correspondence
  • Self motivated, have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to engender trust and build relationships.
  • Bi-lingual English/Japanese helpful but not required
